After this demo you’ll enjoy watching guests at your next BBQ eat off plates that you’ve made, and not have to worry about flimsy paper plates that fold under the weight of a big juicy cheeseburger! You might think a dinner plate is just a small platter, but there are other differences than just size. In his demo, Pat hopes to show you 2 or 3 different ways to make a plate than what you may have seen in other demos, starting with how he mounts the blank on the lathe and why. Other differences are the type of foot he makes and how he reverses and holds the plate to turn the top. None of his techniques are new and never seen before, but you probably have never seen these techniques used to make a plate.
